Pleated Conservatory Blinds

The year-round glass conservatory is a wonderful addition to any home. Some people love to relax and read there, while others use it as a children’s playroom, whatever it maybe used for one of the main complaints is that of temperature extremes, many people simply close the conservatory up come winter, and yet others with south facing positions can’t bear the heat for any length of time to talk about, as a result it is important to consider how to make the conservatory as useful and user-friendly as possible. If it is cold in the wintertime, what is a way to keep as much heat in the room as possible? If it is extremely hot in the summertime, how can the sun’s rays be minimized, keeping the room cooler?

One answer quickly comes to mind. and that is pleated conservatory blinds, they are probably the most popular alternative for conservatory roof and window blinds today. They are available in many different colours / patterns and are easy to maintain.  The concertina effect of pleated blinds makes it possible for the blinds to almost disappear when retracted.  Pleated blinds can reduce the temperature of the conservatory in Summer and keep it warmer in Winter.

One of the things we hear most from customers after installing pleated blinds to the conservatory is that it has turned the space into a proper usable room, just like they were expecting when they had the conservatory fitted
